While we were in Midland, Texas, for my Barnes and Noble Book Signing Event May 17, 2008, we visited the "Childhood Home of President George W. Bush." The tour guide told us she was a friend of the Bush Family and still attends church with Laura Bush's Mother. The tour guide mentioned that Laura's mother was not feeling well and I asked if she would give her my book to encourage her. She agreed and then I asked if she would give a book to President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, I autographed three books (one for her) and wrote special notes in each. It brings great joy and personal satisfaction to know that President George W. and First Lady Laura know how special they are to us and this country and for them to know that BJ and I are praying for them. I will cherish the note and photograph always. Thank you for all your prayers for my family, my book, my travels, my speaking engagements, and my tee shirts, but most of all thank you for letting me share in moments like this. As this ministry grows, no matter where God takes it or us, I am blessed to know you are praying for us.
